  • Gear Oil?

Ok, to make a long story short; I'm at work and I need to meet a friend directly after to pick up some parts. I want to change the fluid in the dif but I forgot to check my manual last night to see what kind of gear oil my car uses, so would anyone happen to know off hand what gear oil would be most appropriate?

I think its 80w90 but you may want to wait for someone else to chime in. I'm not 100% sure.

Can you get the additive at an autoparts store. Or is it only from GM?

We know the GM stuff works. Not worth trying something else. The GM part # is on the Owner's Manual.
