  • Rear Hatch Up

    When you unlock the rear hatch with your keys, or from inside by pressing the hatch release button does your hatch go up by itself? I have to lift mine up by hand.

    By hand...the shocks aren't meant to lift the hatch. They are just there to hold it up.

      By Hand

      Same Here. My 2000 hatch just lifts enough to lift it by hand. My 88 has the electric hatch and it also lifts only enough to lift by hand.
      1988 5.0 TBI Camaro 700R4 Transmission
      2000 3.8 SFI Camaro 4L60E Transmission, K&N Air Filter, and Drill/Slotted Rotors all around.
