  • Cooper Zeon 2XS tires

hey guys, i did a search on these tires and came up with the following 3 threads about them, all singing praises:

    Thread 1
    Thread 2
    Thread 3

what i'd like to know is, are these still a good deal, or is there something else out there now that's better, for around the same price?

if you live in the states the tirerack is probably the best place to get good tires cheep.

I too want cheeper tires for my stock rims I have been looking at Nexen's and the only negative coments are that they arn't a brand people know about and therefore don't trust.

Overall I think the tire you buy should reflect what you expect to do in your car.

i want a very good performing tire (which, from all accounts, these appear to be) without breaking the bank. i don't have a problem buying these, because well, they're good tires, and i can get them for pretty cheap....i just was curious to know if there's anything else newer within the same price range that will give me better performance for my money. i still want to keep ride smoothness and road noise to a minimum, which these also appear to do from others' experiences....

I have read nothing but good posts in relation to this tire. Seems to be a great bang for the buck tire.

ok, i just found out i can also get some BFG g-force t/a KDW's for just slightly more, which of these two would be the better tire?

How much is slightly more? I am also considering these two tires. The best prices that I have found on them aren't even close to each other. As of right now, I am going with the Coopers.

My Coopers 2XS's are still working great, they bite the pavement very well for a street tire. No regrets.

Firehawk Wide Ovals are also a very good warm weather tire for the money. Mine tackle the twisties very well.

Go with the Coopers. I have new ones on my SS and they're awesome. Excellent traction, hard, aggressive ride. The sidewalls are stiff and they'll last forever. The are far better than the stock Eagle F1s and much, much cheaper. I got all 4 mounted and balanced, tax included for $600.

well, i've decided to go with the Coopers, they had to order them, so they'll be in in a few days (hopefully)...i'll report back and give my opinion of them when i get them mounted

oh, and guess what time it is now? schmokey burnout time!

well, i just got back from getting my tires mounted, and so far they seem pretty good....definitely handle bumps in the road a lot better than the stockers do.

i haven't yet tested them out in the corners or anything, tho.....i figured i'd wait until i have a good feel for them before i do that.

but one thing that sucks about new tires is that they pick up rocks & debris a lot better than old tires do, then sling them up against the fender wells....gonna have to try to stay away from construction zones as much as possible for a while now

I'm seriously considering the Cooper 2XS as replacement rubber on my 95 Formula come Spring. I can get them for $550 installed.
My car never sees snow and rarely rain, and I autocross with it.

From what I've read, mostly here, the reviews are very good.

You all still happy with yours?
