venom 400 questions

was wondering if venom 400 "black box" works or is a waste of $450!!!!

Have 95 trans am with hooker longtubes, x pipe, holley 52mm throttle body, msd digital 6 ignition, jet stage 2 chip, cold air intake, 160 degree thermostat.

any answers would be greatly appreciated

when they first came out.. i did some pretty deep research on em. my 2 cents ..but you could get a whole lot more out of LT1 edit.. they are overpriced and the gain is not that gr8 on each particular car..you need to tailor your programing with your mods.. and if you change mods...... then what?

for the money they are a waste of time...I have owned one and it wasn't worth it....besides if you want to run nitrous don't get it....

I thought the Venom 400 was limited to "batch fire" injection systems? That would not allow it to be used with the sequential LT1 injection (94 and up). Or have they come out with an upgraded application?

[EDIT] Maybe I'm confusing it with their add-on nitrous controller, that was for batch fire applications????

if you were talking about a venom 400 control module then it is more or less the same thing as adding a chip but this has an on off switch......I found it to be a waste of money and the thing was way to touchy.....at half throttle it would act up and kinda get confused......you are better off spending the money on a nitrous setup.....you would get better results....just my $.02
