I'll get my MadZ28 tune, and PCM next week. Question about taking the bracket off. According to the website you pry 4 red clips off with a screwdriver, but they look like they have screws going through them. Do I unscrew the bolts then pull the clips out? Also how do you remove the wire harness thats connected to the right side of the PCM?

There's 2 bolts holding the PCM in the car, and the clips that hold the connectors on the PCM snap on/off w/o screws. After taking the 2 bolts out, carefully pull the PCm forward - you may want to push up on the cowl - then pull it out and you will be able to get to the connectors

The clips that hold the bracket to the PCM have screws going through them. Theres a wire harness on the left too hows it come off. Don't want to break it.

The PCM has 4 harness connectors attached with the security clips, bolts of any kind.

Now, the PCM itself is attached to the car with a plastic bracket with two screws, and that bracket is attached to the car with two srews too.
You need to unscrew these 4 in order to install the new reprogrammed PCM to the car.
The PCM has in one of its sides, a plaque with 2 torch scews...there is the knock sensor module compartiment.

Well, that's the OEM PCM....I don't know if your car has an aftermarket PCM installed..... or a OEM PCM with a "custom" installation needed for attached security reasons
        Hope this helps you

People are trying to explain..... you need to pull the 4 harness connectors off the back of the PCM. The red clips (see photo - courtesy of Kelly Drown/ProjecTransAM) are harness connector locks. There should not be any screws going through them.

If you want to remove the plastic mounting bracket from the PCM, there are two screws at the front (end opposite the connectors) that need to be removed. Then the bracket slides off the front of the PCM housing.

There are no electrical connections to the PCM other than the 4 harness connectors at the back. What do you see on yours that you are describing as "the wire harness thats connected to the right side of the PCM"?

I understood it all after Dochidalgos reply thats why I didn't reply back. The wire harness I believe is just connected to the pcm bracket as a place to hold it, but in no way connected to the pcm. I'll get it done just for the pcm on Mon., or Tue. Wish I was able to show you a picture, but I understand it now.

Got the new MadZ28 tune didn't drive it very long because I'm installing the 160 deg. thermostat tomorrow, and the fans were going crazy with the 180 still in there. Waiting for it to loose its pressure over night. The shift firmness is compatible with hypertech if anyone wants to know - felt the same. The tune seems good. I'll get on the gas more tomorrow after the thermostat is in. Then I'll see what its got. Did notice more of a response in the acceleration, but never got above 60 mph yet. Will know more tomorrow.
(Had to use plyers to get the 2 bolts off the plastic bracket that was holding the pcm- the 7 mm too tight, and the 8 mm too loose.)
