  • Hypertech reset or ECM VIN change?

    Hi,

after buying a Hypertech from a moron(tm) and finding that contrary to original info it was not de-programmed, I thought I'd check before returning it to the seller (original car was supposedly junked and isn't available any more. yeah, right ...) - I had a post on another board where somebody said he could clear the VIN on a hypertech, but he's not registered anymore. I also tried to contact Hypertech directly, but haven't received a reply from them in a week.

Does anybody know any third parties that can clear a Hypertech PP3 for a 2000 LS1? Alternatively, is it possible to reprogram the ECM to a different VIN temporarily to then de-program the HPP and restore the VIN afterwards?
