Is there anyway to erase fault codes without taking it to the dealership or haveing acces to the diagnostic tool?

Well, the sure way is to unplug your negative terminal to your battery. Some say 15 minutes do the trick...not me, I have to leave it overnight. Considering your ride is a 3rd gen...that might not apply. But I don't see why it wouldn't work...

Look in your fuse box for a fuse labeled "PCM BAT"..... not sure where it is on a 3rd Gen, but on the 4th Gen LT1's its in the fuse box at the end of the dash (except the oddball 95's where its under the hood). Key off, pull that fuse for 30 seconds and you are clear.Fred
