I have a seal puller but all we're doing is tearing up the seal instead of getting it to pop out. Does anybody have any tips on how to get it out?

Well after we tore up the seal it had it was easy to grab onto it with a pair of vice grips and put a 2x4 in between the plyers and the tranny and use it to pry against. 1993 Formula - 99k
