which sub frame connectors

  • which sub frame connectors

    so im lookin to buy subframe connectors,
    1. is there a difference between the ones for $140.00 and the ones for $200+?
    2. should i get weld on or bolt ons?

    Price difference usually is dictated by material and craftsmanship.

    You usually have two to choose from...box or tubed. Box is stiffer.

    Always go with welded ones. One, they are cheaper. Two, they are stronger, when I say stronger, I mean once welded in. Three, they won't tear into your frame like bolted ones under extreme stress.

    Some have ordered bolt-ins and gotten them welded after...

    A must. BMR is a good choice...

      I bought the BMR boxed because they reinforce the rear control arm mount. They are also somewhat reasonably priced at $170. http://www.bmrfabrication.com/F-body...frameconnector
      You can see mine laying beside the car in my first signature picture.
      I also didn't want the X pattern one because I didn't know what I was going to do with exhaust or torque arm. They are probably a little better but I didn't think it was worth $250 for the SLP weld on which are not painted. The BMRs are nicely painted.
