  • Intake elbow ?

Well i just got a new intake elbow to replace my ripped one. Only thing is I don't see a hole so i can put in the tube that i assume is the vent for the opti. Do i need to drill one or can i just let it vent to the air?

Just to clerify, i'm talking about the thin tube that goes on top and not the sensor that plugs in the side.

Yup, drill a small hole and poke it in.

will do, i just feel that with the money i spent on it, the hole should already be there.

If its the 1LE elbow, the hole would have been there if you had ordered the right one.... they make one without the hole for 93-94 models, and one with the hole for 95-97 models. Same with the standard LT1 elbow, with the air silencer pipe - 2 different part #'s.

Shoebox's website really is the Bible for LT1 parts and tech information. It has the info on the 2 different 1LE elbows. If you aren't using his website as a frequent reference, you are short-changing yourself.

its a trick flow, it said 93-97. I'm guessing it didn't put one there for the 93 and 94 guys.

You're probably right. The Vortech one I have doesn't have the hole, but the instructions they give you show you how/where to put the hole if your car has the the vented Opti.

Would have been helpful if you told us that up front.
