  • Wich Mods To Get For Summer?

    Whats the best bang for buck modifcations (nothing incredably drastic or pricey) that I could make to my IROC-Z for summer?

    What do u consider not too pricey?
    [COLOR=Navy]2000 Navy Blue Trans Am, T Tops, Automatic, Ram Air, Slp 85mm Mas, Air Lid, Smooth bellow, Hooker 1.75 Lt's, ORY, LM1, Air/EGR delete, Throttle body coolant bypass. Msd super conductor wires. TSP cam, ss3600, svo 38LB injectors.
    Ported fast 92 mm intake and 92 mm TB on order.
    11.539 @ 118.82 1.649 60 foot.

    1969 z28 - 9.957 @ 133.92 1.425 60 foot.

        sub frame connectors and an engine bay brace.

        It will feel like a new car again.

              I wooda went with like headers or something, but for under 700 as far as performance i would go with like a bigger therottle body or intake manifold, i would think that that would make a big difference.

                  Why wouldnt the intake manifold or throttle body work, is the engine not desighned for the extra air/fuel, or is there something else i'm missing?

                      Im with TraceZ...Tie the frame rails together and stiffen the front with a brace... You will still have money left over if you watch for a bargain...

                        I would say headers wouldn't be a bad investment the hooker 2055's seem to be a big favorite but with the ceramic coating (which is a must) it might get a little expensive for what you wanted to spend. they are 745 and some change from summit and include the y-pipe. If not I definately agree with TraceZ and go for some SFC's and a strut tower brace it will really tighten the car up a lot.

                          Sounds like a good idea, i think iam gonna go with the sub frame connectors and an engine bay brace, I would defintly like her to feel like new again!
