  • edelbrock or holley

I'm rebuilding a 350 it has a edelbrock performer rpm intake on it.
My question was which would you chose a edelbrock carb or holley the cfm is 750. I've always heard holleys you have to constanley mess with where as edelbrock is bolt and forget it.
Hopefully has had some experience with this tell me

It's been a while since I wore that cap but let me see what I can remember.

The Edelbrock carbs are made by Carter. They have a split float bowl design and are less prone to problems when they are tilted and thrown around like in a 4 wheel drive off road. I assume that is what you are wanting it for by your avatar.

I have owned a boat load of Holley's in my life and have never had to fool with them. You just can't get a carb that flows more gas than a Holley. The holleys with the annular ventures are more efficient than the cross bar types but neither the 1810 (600 cfm generic) the 3350 (750 cfm generic), or the double pumper line comes with them. The can be put on later and do help. If you get the holley, get the electronic choke conversion kit or it can be a PITA to start when it gets cold.

    I hope this helps.
