Kidding!>... I usually get mine at the GM dealer. Seems they last the longest and my wheels dont get dirty so fast. I cannot say they perform to the levels some aftermarket brands do, but I have never had a problem stopping. The GM kits also include instructions and all the little do-dads that make the job easier like lube and caliper rubbers.
The most recommended brake pad on this board is Hawk. I can't comment on them though as I haven't used them.
Right now I have Performance Friction Carbon Metallic all around. They seem to leave very little brake dust, but ever since I changed over they haven't performed as well as I've expected. Before them I had pads that came from Pep Boys (don't remember which). And they seemed to work pretty darn well.
