Time to fix this

The bra on the front is killing me! The previous owners didn't really care for it well so I've driven with the bra for more than a year now. It is time to get her painted/fixed. Only the front bumper has suffered from it, not the hood. I have received bids to repaint it for 700 (crazy?), 300, and 200 dollars. I have never had anything painted before so this is new to me. I am attaching a few photos hoping you guys could give me an estimate on how much I should pay to get this done right or any alternative methods there may be. Please note on the pictures...there is no dirt on the bumper, its either a scratch or whatever the previous owners got on it!

It kinda looks like painting is your only option,i would try different body shops in your area,$500 to $700 seems about right though,the price of body work nowadays, good luck--jack

One suggestion, and this is what I had done with my '96, is to get gloss black on the headlight areas and the center "grill" area. It looks much better. Definitely classier. The black will offset the color nicely. It might run you a bit more to do though.

The biggest expense with paint and body work is the labor. If you're handy you could take the bumper cover off and sand it down, then they would only need to prep/primer/paint. If not I'd expect to spend at least $500 to re paint that, for a "middle of the road quality" job. You also need to make sure exactly what they are doing for the money. For $200 they will probably only sand out the rough spots and base coat it.

Ya those bras look like crap an only do damage. Thats what I told my girlfrend so she quite wearing one.
