Iridium Plugs-Are they worth the $$$

Seems to me that every few years they come up with more fancy plugs ?

Better gas mileage ratio....... or maybe
Better engine performance... or maybe
Long lasting...yes! over the stock ones. You wil save the effort (means PITA) to replace the spark plugs for a long time...
My car has installed the NGK ones. Denso brand is the other option...
