I'm getting rid of my AC, by builting in an kinda like an idler pulley(straight off of camaros with out ac) and i'm curious if i need to change the belt cause the pulley is smaller. I'm not sure the if the positioning of the pulley will make up for the size???????

The belt tensioner can make up for smaller pulleys. You should be OK if you are using a 1LE a/c delete bracket/pulley.
BTW, GM sells them for $40. Part# 10115875

Some people have found the stock belt length works, others have found they had to get a slightly shorter belt. When you get the stock belt on, look at the tensioner pulley. There are markings on the pulley base and a pointer, and as long as the pointer is in the marked range, it should be fine.
While the 1LE pulley is smaller than the A/C clutch pulley, its offset to keep the belt length the same.Fred

GM Parts Direct still sell them for $40.78. Even with the added $9.95 shipping you still save over $20.
I ordered one last winter from Dal Slabaugh for I think $38 plus shipping.
