    Just take the car to the local GM dealership and tell tell them to tune the PCM for better performance in HP gain ?

    No. Dealers can't do that - it could violate emissions laws. And they don't have the knowledge or the skill.... just the tool.

    You find a well-know mail-order tuner. You fill out a detailed questionairre on the mods to your car, and either send them the PCM to be tuned, or arrange for them to send you a new file that you download to the PCM yourself. You would need a cable for you laptop to do that. Or, you can buy "edit" type tuning software that allows you to tune it yourself if you have the knowledge.
