  • installing headers tommorow, any last words of advice!!!!!!!!???

    I'm installing my LT1 longtubes tommorow and i'm wondering if anyone has any words of advice for me before I get started on the long, tedious job????????????????? I want this project to go well so any advice from people who have had this experience will be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        1. Soak your header bolts over night... and any other bolt you need to remove.

        2. Stock up on beer and band-aids (Beer if you are of legal age)

          Make sure you use good gaskets, re tighten everything after the heating-->cooling periods. Hope for no leaks, and if you dont say any bad words, then that will be a first in F-body header install history! lol

          If you get tired just stop and walk away, I find that very helpful when working on the car sometimes!

              YES! If you get tired, just save it for tomorrow. Believe me, 6 hours under the car isn't going to be fun. You'll get angry, and when you do, take a breather. Do your plugs too if you can...O2s also.

                  definatly make sur you use Good gaskets was my mistake and i had to replace them soon after, good luck on that install bud, hope it goes well for ya. Keep us posted on your progress =)
