  • This is about a security system called SILENCER SECURITY SYSTEMS...

Does any one out there know any thing about a silencer security system that has a plug in point that seems to accept something like an earphone cable end... Its located almost beside my diagostics port or how ever you spell it... Do yal know anything about that...?

And what is the Security light on the instrument panel mean...?

    Thanks,
    Mara

Not sure about the security system you asked about, but the light on the dash either refers to the "chip" in your ignition key which disables the starter in the case that someone tries to start it without that chip, or if you have the power door locks and what-not then it can also pertain to the alarm already on the car that honks the horn and flashes the lights if someone opens the door without the key.

Yah I have the piece that plugs into to the slot... I also have something that has two prong ends on it and it says on and off on it... So it is not engaged or what not right... Because I can still start my car and all right now...? Thanks...

And thanks TODD for the info on the Security light on the dash...
        Thanks
