  • Freak LS1?

A few years back my buddy ran a 13.6 quarter mile in his 98 M6 camaro that was stock. The elevation here is almost 4000 ft above sea level. I was wondering If I could expect close to the same numbers, or was his car just a freak. I've been reading about stock LS1 quarter mile times in the mid to low 13's, but these were done alot closer to sea level.

My car is a 99 M6 trans am with a K&N airfilter and borla exaust..... from what I can tell so far.
1999 Ram Air Trans Am. M6

SFC( not sure what kind), drilled/slotted rotors, K&N air filter, all free mods, 3" Borla cat back exaust, electric exaust cut out, NGK spark plugs, royal purple motor oil, and Zaino .Maybe more. I find more stuff done to it everytime I look at it.

If piloted by a skilled driver and you get lots of traction, your car can very well run that. Some cars just run better than others. Some driver's can get better times than others. Go to the track, try it out repeatedly, and most of all......have fun doing it.
LS15 Power! Another LSx engine coming soon.
