I found a pair of stock car tires (goodyear eagles) with about 60% of the tread left on them, I was wondering if I should bother putting them on my car just to see what its like

Are you talking about the speedway radials used in NASCAR? I don't know how they'd hold, but I don't think they're not meant for drag racing.
