If taken care of and maintained properly, how many miles can you expect to get out of an LS1 before it needs a rebuild or you need a new engine? I am at 70K right now and everything appears to be good and the engine still feels strong. My L98 made it to 140K before a rebuild, but thats only becuase the pick up tube on my oil pump fell off.

SFC( not sure what kind), drilled/slotted rotors, K&N air filter, all free mods, 3" Borla cat back exaust, electric exaust cut out, NGK spark plugs, royal purple motor oil, and Zaino .Maybe more. I find more stuff done to it everytime I look at it.

    202K

Still perfect...burns no oils and pulls as strong if not stronger than new.

    Mobil1 every 3000 miles.

My last car wasn't an LS1, but the LT1 had 130k and no problems what so ever. Just watch out for accessory drives...water pump, PS pump, AC condensor and the like.

I was kind of assuming that it would be a reliable engine just the same as all of the other 350's I've had. I'm glad to hear that I should just be replacing normal ware parts just like my other F-bodies. They've been the most reliable cars I've ever had. My 89 TA has been sitting for a month now and yesterday it fired up in less that a second.

Seriously, these are very reliable engines as long as they are well cared for. Mobil 1, or another recommended synthetic oil (Royal Purple) every 3K is always a plus. Keep the K&N clean, and don't use any aftermarket mods from questionable companies (i.e. companies not supported by people on these boards), and all should be well.
