Where is the best place to purchase a functional ram air system for my 1999 TA with ram air hood. And what is the best brand to get?
1999 Ram Air Trans Am. M6

SFC( not sure what kind), drilled/slotted rotors, K&N air filter, all free mods, 3" Borla cat back exaust, electric exaust cut out, NGK spark plugs, royal purple motor oil, and Zaino .Maybe more. I find more stuff done to it everytime I look at it.

I was checking that out a few minutes ago. Do by chance have the part number, because the picture of the air box I was looking at didn't seem to me like it would work.

Here's a link for just the airbox: http://www.ramairhood.com/store/scri...p?idproduct=26

The part numbers are on the page. If you are not clear on what's what, just call them and they can help you out.

The only ram air hoods that were actually "functional" were the '96 - '97 WS6's/Firehawks/SS's (or any ram air hood with the box setup for '93 - '97).

on the 98's + you can cut out the air baffles on your stock hood to give you ram air. They're just many of the "free" mods you can do to your car. Of course it will not look like a ram air, though.

Don't forget, ram air starts to work at 100+ MPH.
