  • Power steering going south

    Pump is whining like a baby.Picking up a new one in the AM.Big job or anything i should know.Want to do it in the AM when it is cool no AC outside. Just want to do it quick an fast Before it gets to hot in Hotlanta. Thanks Blazer

    nothing to worry about.. it is not a hard job at all.
    1994 formula A4 w/ 84,XXX MI, bone stock except MSD wires and NGK TR5 plugs

      What do you mean by whining?

      Mine seems to be going on and off within the serpentine belt, making a loud clicking noise.

      On the way out to? It has plenty of fluid according to the dipstick.

        Put the new pump on an still whining. New alt an not the AC beats the H out of me.New belt also.Comes an goes but I will find it. An replacing the pump is to good ol LT1 job. Everything on A LT1 is A PITS. Want a LS1.Blazer

          Give the new pump a little time. My new one whined for what seemed like forever (I doubt it was long, I was just annoyed that the noise was still there), and then it just stopped and has been great ever since.
