-0.0002 hp due to there weight.

There is no performance increase for putting extra weight on the front of the engine. It is just for looks/clean up the appearance of the engine bay.

go check a thread titled lt1 comparison on page two i believe.... the guy quoted that the corvette was faster than an f-body partialy because the fuel rail covers give the vette 8.65 more hp.... so it sounds like there mite be some people in this forum who are full of it and maybe we should all find another to prevent problems dont try to poke fun at me when traceZ doesnt know what the hell hes talking about and im curious....

He was joking about that. I can see how, being there are no smiles and a J/k sign one might get confused. Everyone here is at a different level of knowlege and we can all respect that. Now in defence of some of the longer members here, we have had a few bad apples here in the last few months trying to cause problems and pestering people. I will say sorry for all of us if we are a bit on edge as of late.

The fuel rail covers for the LS1 motor are available in composite plastic, carbon fiber, stainless, polished billet aluminum, yada yada yada.

The LS1 fuel covers are a 100% cosmetic modification to the motor. Nothing else.

Why doesn't TraceZ know what he is talking about?

As DeWynter said, it was a joke dude. Read between the lines.

And if you think we're going to a different forum, you must've bumped your head.

If you want to get really picky, the water pumps were slightly different too, as well as the brackets and accessories on the front of the motor.

And then there is the fuel rail, also different than the one on the F-body.
The after my 8.65 HP comment indicates it was a joke. The .65 is also a joke because nobody seriously measures HP gains to the hundredth.
I'll stop offering you help now, because apparently I dont know what the hell I'm talking about.

Guys, we really need to give BirdOFprey a break. He did PM a very nice appolgy to me and he really is a very nice guy. I think we really need to have a little more patience. This whole thread was just a silly misunderstanding and everything is cool now. I think BOP may be somewhat new to this online cartalk environment and we'll give him some slack as he gets used to the water.

I'll be the first to say it: Welcome to our forum, BirdOFprey. And I do mean it sincerely, you are indeed welcome here.
