well its info that i got off this forum
go check a thread titled lt1 comparison on page two i believe.... the guy quoted that the corvette was faster than an f-body partialy because the fuel rail covers give the vette 8.65 more hp.... so it sounds like there mite be some people in this forum who are full of it and maybe we should all find another to prevent problemsOriginally posted by fastTA

The LS1 fuel covers are a 100% cosmetic modification to the motor. Nothing else.
Why doesn't TraceZ know what he is talking about?

If you want to get really picky, the water pumps were slightly different too, as well as the brackets and accessories on the front of the motor.
And then there is the fuel rail, also different than the one on the F-body. after my 8.65 HP comment indicates it was a joke. The .65 is also a joke because nobody seriously measures HP gains to the hundredth.

Guys, we really need to give BirdOFprey a break. He did PM a very nice appolgy to me and he really is a very nice guy. I think we really need to have a little more patience. This whole thread was just a silly misunderstanding and everything is cool now. I think BOP may be somewhat new to this online cartalk environment and we'll give him some slack as he gets used to the water.
