I was looking at these heads from Slp, and it was a complete kit, exept it said i needed pushrods, and it didnt show rockers, so i dont this it has them either, and i was wondering how they can claim a certain lift without any specification as to rocker ratio. They sell 1:1.85 ratio, but It didnt say that those were nessesary for this product. Does anyone know the stock rocker ratio, and also, if anyone has seen the product from Slp do you know if they mean with stock rockers or aftermarket rockers.

One more thing. If you look at the ports, can anyone tell me how they are going to flow into a circular tubed header, and will the 1-3/4" headers even work, they specify exaust airflow with a 1-7/8" header, but i havent found any for an 00" T/am. They claim 525hp but how can they say that without specifying the combonation they use. http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=12226

Stock rockers on the LS1 are 1.7:1.

Those are the intake ports in the picture????

O wait thats the intake not the exaust?... are you positive? And do you think that they need the 1:1.85 rockers inorder to work correctly.

The SLP page quotes the cam duration and lifts they assumed. Send SLP an e-mail and ask if that lift is with 1.7's or 1.85's.

Yes..... I am POSITIVE that is the "intake" side of the LS1 head. Those tall ports are one of the reasons the heads flow so well.

There are 1-7/8" headers made for the LS1. You just need to poke around and find them.

This is a Trick Flow head... but this it the typical LS1 exhaust side:

The stock rocker ratio, like Fred pointed out, is 1.7.

Even though there are four common aftermarket ratios of 1.7, 1.75, 1.8, and 1.85, you will find that the majority of LSx owners stick with a 1.7 ratio.

The lift that SLP uses is likely with a 1.7 ratio, but it wouldn't hurt to ask them.

Take a look at the bottom of a LS1 intake plenum and you will see how the tall narrow intake runners on the heads mate up with the tall narrow runner openings on the intake plenum.

im not for sure but with that cam the 1.8 and 1.85 rockers may be to much and i think they used 1.7
i assume you allready have the stock rockers which i hear to be really good, better if thier rebuilt so the bearings dont happen to fall out. but if you dont have rockers, i could sell you mine for super cheap. just sitting in my garage.
