AC delete...do i need the pulley?

i was wondering if you actually need the pully in order to junk your a/c pump..one thing that would run a risk is running an acc. backwards..is it possible?

i suppose you dont i would just disconnect the lines on the back of it... but can i ask why if your deleting the ac why you would want to keep the compressor and not just get the delete pulley for $60?

You must have some sort of pulley there for the belt routing. There is a GM pulley meant for cars with no a/c.

yeah, that is what i meant..i AM getting rid of the compressor and i was wondering if i NEEDED the delete pulley or could i just run the belt without the ac delete pulley. But rob answered my question..does summit sell them? i know pace performance does but im headin up to summit in talimage oh(however you spell it) and buying some last minute thingys so get back to me ASAP..if you can, IM me at BlackIceM1 on aim, if i dont answer i am prolly out in the garage..or heck call my celly or txt me 330 261 3524 so i could know sooner than for a responce on here..i dont care, what ever works..

oh just get a shorter belt right......

A shorter belt may/may not be needed with the a/c delete pulley. It depends on what diameter the original a/c pulley was. There were two.
