Delete Air Pump Set-up?

I was wondering if it is hard to remove the air pump system on my 88. The entire air lines and pump just seem to get in the way. However, I would like to know if it would have any benefit removing it. Also, would I need to get the air pump delete pully so everything can stay the same belt wise? If removed, what lines/holes do I need to plug up? Thanks for your replies in advance!
