Hey fellas, i've recently started to do some research on cams and heads, i'm going to have my mechanic change out my cam, i do trust him but some of you guys seen very knoledgable and i'de appreciate your input. Im looking to maybe get a 306 cam, not looking for crazy power just a nice little boost, he told me i dont need to change my heads, that the heads in the car are sufficient, what do u guys think?

I would say to start off with you can "run" your car with a big cam with stock heads but you def won't see a gain and lose alot of gas milage.Originally posted by WhiteSmokeHey fellas, i've recently started to do some research on cams and heads, i'm going to have my mechanic change out my cam, i do trust him but some of you guys seen very knoledgable and i'de appreciate your input. I wouldn't go with the 306. old tech. and much to large for a 1800 stall converter. you can run LT4 cam kit and mild port stock heads for a boost.I LOVE COBRA'S -
