Remote Question

Does anyone know of a place that sells replacement cases for the factory remote? I have 2 original remotes that are still in good working order (electronically speaking) but the cases and rubber buttons are beat to hell.

I've seen places that sell the entire remote (Auto Zone) which may eventually be an option but I was just wondering if there's a place to get just the case and button overlay.

I don't know if you can find a place like this where you are at, but I bet there are, since yer only an hour away or so.

Most Tint shops, alarm shops, and stereo shops aroudn here have a bazillion remotes that were left at their shop for one reason or another.

If you ask they usually will sell you one for $15 or something silly like that, and you could swap all the interior components yourself.

Hmmm...hadn't thought of that.

Along those lines, does anyone who has replaced the factory alarm with an aftermarket one still have their factory remote? Would you like to get rid of it?
