Mild Shake at WOT

When I hit the gas hard today I noticed the car like missing, or hesitating like a mild shake feeling. Not on low end, but upper end. Not as fast accelerating. Then drove it later not as bad, or maybe even gone away not sure. Whats the probelm here, or is there 1. I havn't really floored it in a couple of months been driving it easy. Too much traffic main reason in the summer months.
The car also was shaking at cold start ups in the past, but that has gone away recently. It might be connected.

when was your last tunup? I put new plugs and wires on my car at around 85k, and before I did, my car did the same thing, but mostly in the upper RPM's. When I'd get to around 5k, it would stutter to go any higher. New plugs fixed it, and when I pulled the old ones the electrodes were thin as hair.

If you have done a recent tuneup, check to make sure that a wire isn't sitting on the manifold, this can cause it to ground out and cause a stutter, happened to me as well. A wire on the drivers side wasn't secured down and got burnt, then grounded out and caused a miss at WOT.
