  • what the heck is this?!



    what is this and what does it do...this is found in the same harness as the oil sensor on the drivers side i dont remember seeing this at all when taking my motor apart..

    are you talking about the thing hanging off the oil filter?

      its not hanging off of the oil filter..it is hanging from the wire harness that has the oil sensor in it also.

        That branch of the harness includes:

        -oil level sensor
        -driver's O2 sensor
        -oil pressure sensor

          okay, so what would that little thing be? ive never seen it while i was taking the engine apart. Its almost like a little yellow button on the center of it, you can press it down..i dont know..if you wnt i can get some more pics of it..i was in a hurry while taking that one..and in the gravel..

              Is it attached (wired up) to a wire in the harness, or is it just tied to the harness and hanging?

                      At first it looked like a snapped off oil pressure sensor wrapped in some kind of tape or insulation. But the more I look at it, the more weird it looks!

                      Where is your converter dust cover boy!

                            lol im still here and still scratchin my head..i just dont know. im going to get out there and take some more pics of it today and post them. i might end up takin it to a friends shop and having him look at it..being that it is hard to work on a car in gravel..in the sun..

                              here are two more pics of this device..as you can see it is in the same harness as the oil sensors..i went to the shoebox pic of the 95 harness..but would there be a slight difference between that and my 94 maybe?
