I have installed about 6-7 CSR (CSI a few years back) electric WP's in various cars that are dailiy driven without a single problem ever for many years. There are probably over a dozen guys that are also using CSR electric WP's with a problem ever, at the monthly Hot Summer Nights car meet that we go to. CSR electric water pumps are 100% just as reliable as the stocker.
Another cool thing with the CSR, is they make a controller that comes with a digital coolant temp gauge that allows you to "dial-in" a specific temp, and the controller will automatically adjust the RPM of the pump to maintain that specific temp you "dialed-in."
Meziere's problems was what gave the electric waterpump on the street a bad name.
