  • Anyone with the SLP intake, PLEASE!

I put the intake on today but it was a bitch to put on! My question is the filter folder( i guess it called that, a plastic piece that fits over the metal intake duct but the filter sits in it) does it have to be in because the only way i could get the lid to close is to not install that piece.

Any suggestions or will not haveing that piece in cause any problems??????

if i understand what you are talking about, no you dont really need it. just kinda keeps the hot air from going down to the air filters a little bit.

Its meant to isolate the chamber. Its doesn't need to be in, but it does help. And, yes, I feel your pain. Mine was a PITA to install as well .

What lid? The 93-97 SLP cold air intake doesn't have any lid that you close. We can only assume a 94 due to your screen name. Perhaps you refer to the 98 and later?

Well, in that case, I have no idea what you're referring to. 2 things I would suggest, in this order,...

              1) Add a sig using the Quick Links menu above. Make sure it includes info. on your car.

              2) Go to www.slponline.com and find which part you are referring to.
