Found a 94 Z-28 with transmission and rear axle that are for sale - just happens to be the parts that I need to get my 93 Z back on the road. Does anyone know of any problems in doing this transplant?
The only issue I can think of would be the gear ratio of the rear end that would cause a speedometer error. Six speeds were different from 93 to 94, the latter getting the 1-4 skip shift and revised gear ratios too.
Is the tranny an M6 (will swap in, but have different gear ratios than the 93) or an A4 (won't work, the 94 is the electronic 4L60E and the 93 is the non-electronic 4L60)?

I was thinking that the 4L60 was replaced by a 4L60E for 94. Thanks for the info. I may sub the rear ends as that would be quicker than dragging a bad tranny car to another shop. The difference in rear end ratios won't be a bother at this stage.
