how hard is it to change o2 sensors on a 96 v6 camaro?

They should be very easy to locate. If I'm not mistaken, they're three. One on the left/right bank of you headers and one right after your converter. They stick out like a sore thumb with a wire running from it.

This is the LT1 V8 but it looks similar to it.

An 02 sensor can go bad at any time. The bank 1 sensor 1 refers to the primary oxygen sensor located in the driver's side exhaust manifold just prior to the flange that connects to the downpipe. Since the primary sensors read the content of oxygen in the exhaust and the computer tweaks the mixture based on that reading, I would replace both primary sensors. You can pretty much bet that unless both had been previously replaced and one failed early, the other one won't be far behind. You'll want them to have the same reaction for best effeciency.Originally posted by Choppersare you saying they can go bad anytime or no?
