  • 1996 LT1 block

Is a 96 stroked LT1 block a good buy for 2000? I haven't seen pics or gotten any other details, but I'll post them up when they come in.

I was thinking of buying this short block and doing all the upgrades to it, and still have the use of my Trans.

All depends on the quality of the work, parts, and condition of short block.

What all do you know about it?

I haven't heard from the guy in 2 days....

Could have just been a bluff or some flakey dude.

There is a guy on my local racing board that is parting out a 97 Camaro. Said he'd take $1000 for the LT1 complete with harness and ECM. Will even include the fuel pump and anything to make it work in a street rod or V6/V8 conversion. 6M tranny is an additional $1200. Let me know if you want the contact info.
LS15 Power! Another LSx engine coming soon.
