any thoughts about these gorilla chipz i keep seeing on ebay suppsidly a stage 2 chip is 2 boost HP by 43-58. seems like its a resistor to fool the IAT sensor.

Don't bother. A true performance chip is what you need, not a gimmick that is just someone's money maker. The bottom line is get a good chip burned from a well known tuner source or at least get a more commercial run of the mill chip that will at least give you some real gains. And no...... no chip or program is going to give you more than 10-15 HP unless the car is wildly modified and is running well past the limit of what the factory program can accomodate. So unless you have a stroker motor with heads and cam, all the exhaust and intake tricks, don't expect a great difference.
