The 1992 RS that my son drives (handed down when I got the Ragtop 6 years ago) has 204,510 miles on it now--and still running like crazy.

Rebuilding the engine (headgasket, water pump, thermostat etc.) as we speak.

Joe how are the engines in your machines? I'm gonna guess pretty good since I bet you take very good care of them.

Im re-doing mine now because of the bad maintenience tendincies the previous driver had.

The only major componet I replaced is the water pump...that's all. Everything is working like clock work. The alternator looks like it might be on its last leg, but still kicks.

My 97 seems as fresh as new. When I did the headgaskets about 20K ago, the cylinders didn't even look broken in yet. That's mobil 1 synthetic changed every 2500 miles! The 93 seems good and strong, so is the 94..... except the 94 is starting to give a little puff of oil smoke on a cold start up (probably valve guides).

94 Trans 132000 miles. The only thing that totally croaked since I've had it was the control rod arm.

Well the tranny blew out at 123k but that was before I bought it.
