  • Tail light question

OK. I know I should research archives on this and other boards but I'm lazy tonight.

I need to replace a tail light bulb and noticed there are no screws in the lens. How do I remove it? I figured I have to remove that cheap, cheesy trunk liner material from inside the hatch. Am I right? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I think that you have to remove the cover for the spare tire, which is on the passenger's side, to get to the wingnuts on that side. I don't think that anything has to be removed from the driver's side. Then just pull the carpet down a little on each side, and you should see two black plastic wingnuts on each side. Take those out, and you should be able to pull the taillights out.

Thanks for the advice. I removed the lens, gave the bulb socket a twist to remove it and the bulb lit up and is working fine so I just twisted it shut and reset the lens, reset the liner and spare cover. No need for replacement.
