Sounds fuel related to me. Check your fuel pressure at the schrader valve. Check it with the key on engine off first, and pull off the vacuum line off the regulator while you are monitoring the FP gauge. Then check it with engine running but with the vacuum line back on the regulator. Fuel pressure should not be below 40 PSI on both counts.
Do you have a way to measure amperage draw? When a fuel pump starts going, it will draw more and more amperage. Most of the stock LT1 fuel pumps I have measured are right around 2.5-4 amps when healthy. They can go over 10 amps when they are going bad.
I'll agree that you need to get the car scanned. Just because the SES light is not on doesn't mean there aren't any codes.
