  • stage 1 or stage 2 cold air? whats the difference?

they look the same to me. can anyone tell me whats the difference between a stage 1 and stage 2 cold air intake? I've also seen a filter that just goes directly on without any tubes. is that one better? thanx

Mabey you could provide links to the two parts? Without seeing them, there is no way for us to tell you which is better.

The one that goes right on the engine without any tubes is not a cold air intake. It will allow HOT air into the engine... Not Good.

i guess u have a TPI. stage 1 and stage 2 in my mind are complete bs. either its a true COLD air intake(with a tube that goes to the fender or outside the compartment or its a open element(just a filter on the thottlebody or a short ram(import kids more then not, short tube)
