  • Tick Tick Tick Tick......

    Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows a way to reduce "header tick?" Under light acceleration, I get an annoying ticking sound coming from my engine bay. Took it to the local exhaust shop & told them to look for leaks, but they didnt find any. They said the sound is a normal header tick. My car has made this sound as long as I can remember. Are there any ways of reducing this sound? How about ceramic coating? Will that help?

    Thanks in Advance,
    Mark B

Also look for spark plug wires that may not be fully seated.

Thanks Joe. From that thread, it sounds like what I am expirencing is pretty normal for headers. I wanted to get the headers ceramic coated anyway, so I will probably just do that & hope that it helps with the sound. If it doesnt help, I can always just go full throttle everywhere. Who needs part throttle? haha
