For our cars, it's called a shock tower brace. We don't have true struts, per se. The type to get depends on your desired result. I would stay away from triangulated 3 point bars that also attach to the cowl. They have been known to place addition stress on the cowl area and result in an occational cracked windshield. The Hotchkiss 3 piece bars have a bracket that attaches to each shock tower and the main brace bolts to those. That eneables the center bar to be removed for better access to the engine should you need it. The last type is a solid one piece. The choice is yours. I have an extra chromemoly BMR one piece that is powdercoated red, it could be yours for $100. It's lightweight and strong!
It fits 93-02 LT-1 and LS-1 except those with the Camaro SS intake.

MSTB001 1993-1997 LT1 except SS models. All LS1 models(including SS) - chrome moly $129.95

Over the 11 years that I've had my LG Motosports 4-point shock tower brace, I've asked people to supply data on actual cases of broken windshields. So far, only one real case has shown up, and that was a road racer who took a cross-country excursion and ended up in a ditch.

I saw one in person, Fred. A local guy was cut off, ran up over a concrete curb and the strees from the suspension impact cracked the windsield. I was amazed, but that did it for me.Originally posted by InjuneerOver the 11 years that I've had my LG Motosports 4-point shock tower brace, I've asked people to supply data on actual cases of broken windshields.
