  • PCM question

Well, i put on some foglights on my car about 2 weeks ago. I disconected my battery just for safety. But eversince then my car doesn't seem like it shifts as hard as it did, and my shift point is now back at 5800 rpm instead of 6000 rpm(just noticed that). Is it possible that i accidently reset my madz28 tune back to stock? If i did, is there a way of getting it back? Thanks guys, Ryan.

edit: Power loss is hard to tell as i just installed a cutout also.

Removing the power from the PCM does not affect the tune.

Well thats good, but is there any other reason why it would be shifting "early" then?

Not sure how you can tell 200 RPM from the notoriously inaccurate stock tach, unless maybe you datalogged it before and after. There are some things the PCM has to relearn, but shift points would not be one of them.
