  • Oil leak

I've got a '95 Z28 M6 with 135K and it just started leaking oil somewhere in the front part of the engine. It's a pretty bad leak but not enough to warrant immediate repair (up to now, it's never leaked a drop). A quick check indicates a leaky front main seal but I'm not 100% sure. Are there any other areas or components that are problematic? The rear main seal is new (new clutch last year) and everything on the topside looks tight. My next move is to replace the front seal and I'll probably install a new timing chain and sprockets while I'm there. Any other recommendations?

the same thing happened to my camaro, which in time i had to rebuild my motor but found out that it was due to a crack in the block caused by over revving or constantly red linning it. to this day it still leaks a drop but its a muscle car, their never 100%
