Ok, here's an oddball question. I'm looking to fix up the clusters of my Z. I called the local Chevy dealership and they wanted me to buy a whole new friggen dash panel. Is this my only resort or is there another way to get the new overlays? I'm looking for new overlays for the instrument cluster, lighting control panel and HVAC control panel along with new knobs for the HVAC and lighting panels. Also, is this something I can attempt myself to do or should I have it professionally done? Thanks guys.

I don't want the white-face gauges, don't like them. Plus, I need more than just the instrument cluster overlay. Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of if you want new is to go http://www.abrinoperformanceengineer...T1%20%20stuff/ and download the pdf file for your car. Find the part number you want and order it from GM. I like http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ and have used them several times. Check out this old thread for other parts sources. http://www.f-body.com/index.html/sho...ighlight=parts

Seems to me that the IP overlay wouldn't be subject to much abuse, so a cluster from a boneyard should work fine and would be mucho cheaper.

I tried the local Chevy dealer, but they said the only way to get the overlays are to buy a new dash panel and new HVAC switch. As for Joe's suggestion, any good-quality scrap yards you know? Thanks guys.

What is wrong with yours that a scrap yard car might be better?

Thanks for the sites guys, I'll be sure to check them out. The reason I'm looking for these overlays is because the ones already in the car are starting to turn yellow from age, so I'd like to replace them to bring back the natural sweetness of the car lol
