NFB, but kind of need some help/advise

Heres the deal guys.. I have to take a night class at the NAVY BASE. The class I need for my Bachelor is only offered there this semester, and I need to take this class. It starts Wednesday. Anyways, the class like I said is at the Great Lakes Navy Base.. It's in a rather ghetto area. I know that you do need to register your card and have a sticker to get into the base itself. I have NEVER been there before, but I'M really worried about taking my 04 WRX STI there... Have any of you ever had to park a car on base? If so, is it pretty safe, or should I worry? I really don't know what to do or think... Anyone have any advice???

A friend of mine was there for about a year a few years ago and I never had any problems when I would visit him. I was only driving a 4 cyl. S-10 at the time though.

I was stationed there for about a year in a half and I never had a problem at all. At the time I was driving my 91 Z-28. And it had a $3000 system in it and everyone knew it but still no one messed with it. security drives around alot even at nite and they even go threw the parking lots. So you should be fine.
