  • Snow Tire Pressure Question

    Hey all,

I swapped out to my winter tires this morning...Brrrr!!

Anyway, I put air in them as they've been sitting for quite a while. I took them up to 30-31 psi. Now these are Blizzak 215/60R16's, will they need slightly more pressure than the performance tires? Or should I just keep them where they are?

we blow them up to 35 on cars and 40/50 depending on the tire on trucks/suvs(some ppl DO put snows on them for some odd reason) at my job.

      Joe,

I ran those at 35 psi. Lower than that, and it tends to cause the tire to pack with snow instead of cutting through it. No need to go higher than 35 either.

Glad to see they're holding up...

The peace of mind is surely worth it, Al. Plenty of tread left too!
