  • Sony Cd Installation

    Hi guys,im upgrading my stereo to a sony cd player,but obviously,its thinner than the standard pontiac unit,is there a new fascia trim to buy,so it fits in correctly,if so,where do i get them from?

    Im in the UK,
    1996 TRANS AM.

      you can get them anywhere a local stereo shop, best buy, even walmart usually sells them.

        i m pretty much sure you can find one at halfords, double din to single din size, and you might need to put something underneath , a piece of plastic or something
        Did you figure out where the wires go, if not i recently put a pioneer in my formula and i wrote down the connections

          Thanks guys,whats the correct word for these things?Adaptor plates,fascia plates etc?

          Havent got as far as removing the old one yet,but ill be in touch if i have any problems

            they're call din kits. that's what ive always called them.

                If you want the advice of a 15 year experienced 12 volt installer, buy a Metra kit. They make the nicest kits on the market and they hold up well. That's all I use in the cars I've installed in and in the cars I own.
